You?

Derek Dendievel
Principal and Founder
I have many roles at Digiti. I'm an entrepreneur, having built it to the size it is now, serving Fortune 50 companies as well as small businesses and startups, working globally as well as within Belgium. I know how to speak to other entrepreneurs, determine what they want and need, and do it quickly and professionally. I'm able to open their eyes to a possibility they hadn't considered and show them why it would be a smart, cost-effective move, and I know how to steer them away from what is outmoded or a waste of their money.
At the same time, I'm in the role of leader, and I've enjoyed putting together a brilliant team of imaginative and ingenious people. I give them a very positive work environment, great benefits, and opportunities for growth and experimentation, and this pays off well for both my company and yours. Finally, I'm a designer and developer myself, so I'm able to clearly explain our capabilities to our clients, assess progress on projects and evaluate their direction, and collaborate with each member of the team.

Stelian Firez
Designer
As the first employee hired by Digiti, I have enjoyed digging into an amazing range of very challenging projects for clients in many countries. I bring my expertise in design and illustration to answer the number one question: How can we best engage, interest, and educate your customers, and move them to take action, whether you want them to buy a product, use your services, or learn about you? I bring all my creative abilities to each job.
My understanding of the web goes beyond design; I also can code every website I design, and am especially fascinated by the programming language called Python. I enjoy books by authors such as Seth Godin, Malcolm Gladwell, and Jason Fried. This means I can bring a larger perspective to each project, having a good sense of how people think, how they react to the web, and how to stand out in a crowd of websites. In my time off, I listen to music and play football.

Marie-Anne Herremans
Project Lead
Personal contact is vitally important for a successful project. Our projects are ambitious and highly technical, so it's essential that when you pick up the phone you'll know exactly who to speak to: you'll speak to me. This makes the job smoother for you, and our process easier to understand; it also helps the project stay on track and on time. I speak Dutch, English, and French, and understand German.
I have over five years of experience handling some of the most difficult, complex programming and design work. After listening to your needs, I'll develop a clear vision of what is technically feasible, which solution is right for you, and communicate that to both you and to our incredibly creative, energetic team. Keeping you informed along the way is a top priority for me, too. My philosophy is that my primary job is to make you, as client, happy. Outside of work, my horses are one of my greatest sources of joy and relaxation.

Joris Compernol
Motion Designer
I started as a print designer and have the training and experience to craft effective, professional print pieces using my knowledge of typography, color, and layout. But searching for new challenges, I ended up at Digiti, and with the freedom we have here to explore and experiment in a creative and challenging atmosphere, I discovered a great love of motion design: 2D and 3D.
It's not just my designs that move; my mind, my hands, my ideas are all caught up in the magic of motion. It's almost like being a musician and an artist; I like to immerse myself and move it, move it—vertices from left to right, top to bottom, front to back, morphing and transforming before my eyes. From concept to completion, I'm crunching ideas, bending my brain, driving forward and fine-tuning to give you the jaw-dropping effects you hope for. Outside of work? I live a full life and fill it with chokotoff (chocolate candy)—3D, of course.

Bert Goossens
Developer
The word "impossible" is not in my vocabulary. Have a "crazy" idea, something that no one has done before? Bring it on; I'll do it. That's exactly the kind of challenge I like. In fact, with my colleagues here at Digiti, I'll take your idea and stretch it until we've made something beyond what you've dreamt, and you (and your customers) will love it.
I have extensive development skills and build solid, hardworking applications and sites every day using crisp, clean code. What others see as the boring programming behind the scenes, I see as the clever, fascinating technical wizardry that turn thoughts and plans into reality. I've got the resources to bring something fresh, innovative, and ingenious to your business. I like the look in a client's eyes when I've built something, and I know they're thinking, "That's so cool!" Outside of work I get away from my desk. I like to keep things simple: football, walking my dog, and working in the garden.
Bert Timmermans
Application Designer
At the core of the future of both web design and development, you'll find applications—and that's where you'll find me, as well. But the most successful apps are ones that are elegantly designed, inside and out, and usable. Let's face it: I love pixels. By that I mean that I have a passion for everything that can be created visually on the web—transforming ideas into beautiful designs that leap from the surface to grab your customer's attention. I usually design websites and interfaces for the "next generation" web applications. This requires an understanding of not just what is needed now, but insight into what will be required in the future.
In addition to designing for the bigger screen I am also responsible for all the mobile magic. Once again, I know how to work with a developer so that extraordinary things happen. My hobbies are all internet-related: I'm a devoted Mac addict, with a special interest in iPhone/iPad apps. Just wave those pretty, shiny Mac things in front of me and I'll follow you anywhere.

Tim Wuyts
Front-end Developer
Our team is known for creating amazing visual experiences. Behind each one of these, hidden from view, are the programming and markup required to make our team's ideas come to life, to dazzle your customers, engage their attention, and give them an easy, uncomplicated experience. This takes knowing the best practices in our field and, I'm willing to admit it takes someone who is a fanatic about his work.
You won't be surprised to discover that I devote my spare time to keeping up with the latest, newest, and coolest stuff in our field. Bringing you the best, the creations that will make your customers say, "Wow," is my goal at work. Then, in my own life I always look for activities and friends who will make me say, "Wow!" too.

Bert Fonteyn
Developer
As a web developer, I make the clocks tick. I take care of every technical aspect behind your website or application. Building new applications and optimizing existing ones is what makes up most of my day-to-day job. It's not just about writing code, but about offering seamless experiences for problems and tasks a user might face.
But we go beyond that here, and delight in delivering something much more inventive and astonishing than you ever expected or imagined. I take an idea and then move it up a few notches, working alone or with my colleagues until we've created something unlike what you've ever seen before. How? By stepping back, looking at a challenge and then thinking about it from new and different perspectives. Why just do what everyone else is doing? My job is more than work; I'm deeply engaged in every minute of it. When I'm not behind my Mac, you can find me behind a book, on my mountain bike, or watching a movie.

Steven Lenaerts
Designer
I'm a creative person; it drives everything I do. But Digiti stands for thoughtful creativity. I sketch concepts, look at project needs, do the research required for customized work that is the perfect fit for your business. I build logos and brand identities; integrate them with original advertising; do photographic shots; create visuals with the latest software; and design websites, web campaigns, or interfaces. I'll even delve into putting some motion in graphics or concepts, or get my hands dirty by digging into some code to get a design's first stages started.
This concept of thoughtful creativity at Digiti means that any designer or developer here doesn't just play around with ideas or make things pretty but without purpose. What keeps customers using your site or app is how well-designed it is, how well it's made, how effective a job it does. Get that right and then it's not only pretty, it's hot. When I'm done working for the day, I enjoy something even more beautiful: being with my two daughters. My fascination with design of all kinds probably is what attracts me to my hobby: strange creatures—from reptiles to all sorts of spiders.

Leen De Houwer
Administrative Assistant
While Marie-Anne and the guys eat candy all day and have their heads deep in computer work, saying, "Cool!" and "Brutal!" every 5 minutes, I do the serious work of keeping the business running and the bills paid. If I weren't here, the refrigerator full of pop would stop humming and the rooms would be dark. There'd be no sketchpads, no ink for the printers, no internet connection. Everyone would have to work for free.
Seriously, though, one sign of a solid, professional design and development business is making sure that someone is in charge of billing, accounts, paying the employees, completing necessary paperwork, keeping supplies stocked. This is where the inefficiency of so many companies becomes evident. They're always running around trying to get these things done at the last minute, and it's a sign of a disorganized mind. Here, Marie-Anne runs the projects, and Derek runs the company. I make sure the office where all the work is done keeps sailing along so we always reach our goals.

Kevin Dendievel
Designer/Developer
I'm the youngest member of the team, and bring a fresh vision to the table. My perspective adds much of value to projects led by more experienced designers and developers. An enormous population of very young people uses the web and mobile and they can be very sophisticated and ready to try new digital products and services and make them soar in popularity.
I also have a lot to offer because I'm skilled with Photoshop and know my way around markup and code, so I'm able to join in on a number of projects. Digiti is an amazing place to develop your skills. Not only does everyone have a solid background in their area of expertise, they usually have abilities in skills outside of their job description. Also, they're right on top of the newest developments and always experimenting and making things in side projects, increasing their skills even more. It's an ideal company for learning how to work with international businesses and both small and large companies, too.

Arnaud d'Haen
Business Development
When a company like Digiti can do just about anything digital, you begin to realize that the interactive web has more to offer than you ever realized. How to get to the heart of what you need? That's my job: to help you see what we provide and how we can create something that is a perfect fit for your business goals. I'm here to usher you into the Digiti experience, introduce you to the talented, friendly geniuses who are here to help you take everything you do a giant leap forward.
A thoroughly European guy, with a multinational heritage and many travels behind me, I am fluent in the universal languages of "business" and "advertising." I have a professional Master in Arts (Advertising) and years of experience, so I know that the latest digital tools shouldn't be used as toys or for trendiness. They should be use wisely, to evoke precisely the right response in your customers. I help translate your business needs so that the Digiti team can create amazing things whose every detail dazzles and engages your customer...but in a way that blends with your brand beautifully. We aren't here to change you. We are here to help you connect with your customers in a way they'll never forget.
The oldest dude at Digiti, I'm married and have three children. I'm a connoisseur of the arts, a soccer dad, an active race cycling fan, and an alpine ski addict.

Evelyn Heylen
Project Manager
As a Project Manager I’m involved in every step of a project, from the original briefing to the final customer sign off and beyond. I keep a close eye on all of my projects; so if you have a question, just shout. I'm happy to answer.
I'm really interested in learning everything I can about SEO, SEA and Google Analytics (I'm even SEA and Google Analytics qualified). I'm fascinated with the opportunities and challenges that reporting tools offer us to optimize our customers’ websites. And I can't wait to put my knowledge into practice to make your website more visible in the virtual world.
When I’m not working, my passion is exploring. Exploring the visual landscape through my camera lens; exploring the world with long road trips and even longer detours; and exploring the musical possibilities that surround us.

Maarten Claes
Developer
When I was 12 you could find me gaming morning, noon and night. To encourage my passion, my Dad bought me DIV Games Studio, a simplified programming environment. Suddenly, instead of playing games, I was creating them. A whole new dimension had opened up for me!
A couple of years later and I headed off to college to become a web designer. The course included some programming classes and it wasn’t long before I realized that that was where my passion – and my talent – really was. My ambitions quickly changed.
I find programming immensely satisfying. It doesn’t matter if it’s in Ruby or Objective C, or even something completely new. I find it fascinating to see how a small change in code can affect the user experience, making something quicker to load or easier to find, guiding users through the website or the mobile application.
In a roundabout way, you could say that I have my Dad and his gift of the DIV Games Studio to thank for me being at Digiti, doing a job that I really enjoy.
